The Law with regards to our qualifications
Foundation
Food Hygiene
|
Although
this is not required by the Law, the Law does state
that ‘employers must train staff to enable
them to keep food/drink safe’. The easiest
way of doing this is by ensuring staff complete
the course – Environmental Health Inspectors
also prefer staff handling food/drink to have this
qualification.
|
|
Foundation
Health and Safety Risk Assessment
|
It
is the Law to provide a safe and healthy working
environment and if you have 5 or more employees
- a policy on Health and Safety and complete regular
and appropriate risk assessments.
|
|
NCL
- Professional Barpersons Qualification
|
Most
Justices will insist that a prospective licensee
has this qualification and understands its requirements.
Ensure staff don’t let you down and give them
cost effective training.
|
|
First
Aid |
It
is the Law that employers provide appropriate First
Aid facilities and that employees know understand
and know about these facilities. A guide is:-
• 1x Appointed person on duty at all times.
• 1x Qualified First Aider on duty for every
50+ employees.
These ratios will increase depending on the hazards
and people at risk.
