Level 1 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (CIEH)

This half day course introduces candidates to the hazards and risks involved in manual handling and outlines what is expected from a manual handling assessment.

It is aimed at those who carry out manual handing activities at work and encourages employees to develop safer techniques in the workplace.

  • Injuries caused through poor manual handling
  • Principles for controlling manual handling and the application of these
  • Purpose of conducting manual handling risk assessments and how they benefit both company and employee
